Jerome Roger, Ph.D.
Jerome received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Paris XI University, Paris, France. He worked for 4 years in Jose-Alain Sahel Lab under the direction of Dr. Olivier Goureau. His thesis was on the characterization of genes regulated by the ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF) during the differentiation of retinal progenitors. In his previous position, he studied retinal development and used electroporation to misexpress genes in newborn rat retinal explants in order to study their influence on retinal progenitor fate.
He began working in the N-NRL in January 2007. Jerome’s research focuses on the identification of signaling pathways influencing retinal progenitor differentiation. He also seeks to understand the biological functions of Nrl post-translational modification.
