Central serous retinopathy is a collection of fluid under the retina that results in visual distortion. When left alone it heals spontaneously within weeks or months. However, about one-third to one-half of patients have a reoccurrence after the first episode. About 10 percent of patients have three or more reoccurrences.
Currently, the NEI does not have a factsheet on this condition.
